Also young children who wear diapers at a higher risk of suffering from chronic yeast infections in this area of the body as well.

Experts say that 75% of all women will suffer from some form of yeast infection at some stage in their lives. Plus it is not just limited to women, men can also get yeast infections in their groin area, which is in medical terms is known as male yeast infection. Yeast infections are something that one person can transmit to another through sexual intercourse. Therefore, if you find that you and your partner have chronic yeast infections, then you should seek medical assistance. Also it is important that you abstain from any form of sexual contact until you have both been treated successfully. This will prevent you both from passing it back and forth between each other. You may well be instructed by your doctor to use these treatments for a longer period of time than would be considered if yours is considered to be a chronic yeast infection. It is vital that you make sure you keep the area dry, and dry it thoroughly after you have had a bath or shower or after a swim.

It is also important that whilst treatment is ongoing that you purchase a new tooth brush, plus once treatment has been successfully completed you then purchase another new toothbrush. By doing this you will actually prevent the yeast infection from being introduced back into your mouth again.

If you have a child who has chronic yeast infection of the mouth or throat, again you should replace their toothbrush as you would yours. It is also important that you sterilize, replace or wash with hot soapy water any toys or other items that your child likes to chew on or which they put in their mouth.

The most common kinds of chronic yeast infections people suffer from are those which affect the skin. The most often occur in areas of the body which are warm and moist, including under the arms, on or under breasts, or in skin folds. If you do suffer from such infections on your skin then it is important that the area which is affected be kept as dry as possible. Also if you can it preferable to wear cotton clothing that is loose fitting.

Unfortunately tight-fitting or synthetic materials will cause you to sweat more, and this leaves the area affected moist and warm, which is the ideal breeding ground for chronic yeast infections. If you experience any kind of chronic yeast infections in the folds of skin, then try using antifungal powder rather than a cream. The powder can sometimes create a much better environment for treating the infection and so healing the skin.

When it comes to treating chronic yeast infections it has been found through medical studies that eating natural yogurts which contain active cultures are effective at helping to prevent such infections. If you want to reap the benefits of these foods then you should be trying to eat at least one active culture yogurt each day.

Another thing which has been proved successfully by medical experts as a way of dealing with chronic yeast infections is through including probiotics in a sufferer's diet. Probiotics are actually live micro-organisms which are very similar to active cultures that are to be found in natural yogurts and which can help to regulate the level of micro-organisms found in your body. By taking probiotics as part of your diet you will actually be able to keep these organisms under control and so help to bring chronic yeast infections under control as well.
