Before addressing the question, what are vaginal yeast infections? Let us first begin by defining yeast. This substance, otherwise known as Candida, is a fungus. When it rises above the normal levels within the area of the vagina, the condition known as vaginitis develops. Vaginitis is extremely uncomfortable and a source of embarrassment for many women. But it is nothing to be embarrassed about; instead it is best to be informed on its symptoms and treatment.

Systemic Candidiasis is an infection due to a surplus of a natural yeast called Candida albicans. Normally held in check by the good bacteria in our bodies, under certain conditions the Candid albicans ‘overgrows’ into a fungal state which causes the Candidiasis infection. Endemic Candidiasis customarily starts in the intestinal tract and then spreads to other organs through the bloodstream.
