If you don’t know what a yeast infection is or the symptoms of one you may never realize what you have only that something is wrong. A lot of the public is unaware of what yeast infections are, they only recognize the term because of the corny commercials advertising easy treatment options available through a prescription or over the counter. Yeast infections are caused by an overproduction of yeast in the vagina which causes a fungal infection and inflammation. They are extremely common and most women will have one at one point or another. The good thing is treatment is simple and they are relatively non-threatening. Here is what to look for.
